Logo Photoshop Progress

Ow! Music Logos

SHRED Logo:

This was me testing out different ways of getting the 'z' (lightning) shape for all the logos, but I didn't like any of them as they weren't pointy enough.

This is a second screenshot of how I chose the correct lightning strike shape. To extend it, I used the layer via cut tool, and extended the top line to create a longer line, like the bottom example.

For this part of the logo I chose the desired font from dafont.com, I then used the text tool to write the text 'SHRED' then I deleted the (part of the) letters 'H' and 'D' in order to be replacing part of them with a shadow of a drumstick. I was able to do this by getting a picture of a drumstick and cropping out the background so I was able to edit the colour, size and shape. I the used the paint filler tool to colour in the drumsticks and have them as if they are as shadow and outline.

These are the screenshots from the beginning to the end of the shred logo, the z/lightning look will feature on all the logos with a small font saying "Ow! Music". I chose a font that fit with the theme of the genre of music played on this station. This will then appeal to the audience as it proves to them the type of music played.

VIP Logo:

For this part of the logo I chose the desired font from dafont.com, I then used the text tool to write the text 'Vip' I then decided that the 'V' needed to stand out more so I coloured it in yellow and created a black shadow. I also decided to add two neon coloured bands to relate it to the 80's and the clothes they wore.

I then added the lightning sign to the bottom of the logo in order for the audience to be able to tell that this station is one of many.

This is nearly the final design for the OW! Music logo for the radio channel VIP however I still need to add the OW! Music onto the lightning shape.

This is the finished Vip logo.  I chose a font that fit with the theme of the genre of music played on this station along with the colours. This will then appeal to the audience as it proves to them the type of music played.

MIXX Logo:

For this part of the logo i copied the lightening strike but changed the colour inside to purple.

For this part of the logo I chose the desired font from dafont.com, I then used the text tool to write the text 'MIXX' I then decided that the texted needed to fit with the purple colour and be a neutral colour for both girls and boys so I coloured it in yellow.

I then added the final part to the logo, which is the words "Ow! Music", to the bottom line of the lightning strike to finish the logo.
